Our story

How
Altaris started.

JWV Solutions was founded in Rhode Island by engineers who spent careers in electronics materials — soldering, bonding, and dispensing work where a wrong mix or a missed cure cycle doesn't just waste material, it fails a product. The problem they kept seeing: contract manufacturers big enough to serve aerospace and medical customers were too rigid to handle the project variety those customers actually needed.

The business grew from 1-part dispensing into 2-part specialty, then full contract manufacturing as customers kept asking for more. The first aerospace qualification, the first medical-device project, the first ITAR-registered job — each one came from an existing customer who already trusted the work and asked whether we could handle something more complex.

The 2026 rebrand to Altaris Industrial reflects an expanded scope and ambition. The team is the same. The quality system is the same. What's changing is the clarity of what we're offering — and to whom.

Say no more than yes.
We turn down 40% of projects we quote. Not because we can't do them — because we won't do them well enough. Integrity starts with the discipline to refuse work that would compromise it.

The small job matters.
5ml pilot batches get the same care as 1,000-lb production runs. Most contract shops have a minimum; we don't — because small batches are often how relationships start.

Engineers, not salespeople.
Every quote starts with a conversation with someone who's run the process, not read about it. If you email us with a spec sheet, an engineer reads it first.
